Peak Rail
Peak Rail was once part of the former Midland Railway main line between Manchester and London, on the branch from Buxton to Matlock. Regular steam train services ply the four-mile line from Matlock Riverside to Rowsley, passing through some beautiful scenery along the way. The original Gothic station buildings are in place at the intermediate station, Darley Dale; the up side buildings have been restored and augmented by a new toilet block, and give a fascinating insight to the architecture of the Midland Railway in this area. We don't have an image of Peak Rail yet - to submit one, e-mail it to webmaster@preservedrailways.org.uk
