Rheilfford Ffestiniog Railway

Winter timetable currently in operation; summer timetable dates to be added shortly

The Ffestiniog Railway is a narrow gauge line, based at Harbour Station at Porthmadog in Wales. Regular steam trains run along the 13½ mile line to Blaenau Ffestiniog through some spectacular scenery, crossing 'The Cob' by the sea at Porthmadog at the start of their journey. The line is so steep that heavy trains require the use of a famous and unique design of steam locomotive, the 'Double Fairlie', which can only be seen on this line and its sister line, the Welsh Highland Railway (Caernarfon).

One of the unique 'DOuble Fairlie' steam engines on the Ffestiniog Railway
